Our Legacy
Wood-Land Expansion, Inc. was built under the leadership of Gary Gladen, founder and longtime project supervisor, whose more than 50 years of experience in the timber industry set the foundation for the company’s reputation and success. Gary dedicated his career to responsible timber harvesting, forest management, and industry leadership.
Throughout his career, Gary served for many years as a board member of the Associated California Loggers (ACL) and was President of the Amador/El Dorado ACL Chapter. He was also invited on multiple occasions to Washington, D.C. by the American Loggers Council and the Associated California Loggers to represent the timber industry at the national level. Gary also sat on the Amador County AG committee board and was a past board member for TuCare (Tuolumne County alliance for resources & environment) His knowledge, leadership, and commitment to quality continue to guide Wood-Land Expansion’s standards and operations.
Leadership & Experience
Today, Wood-Land Expansion, Inc. is led by Jeremiah Gladen, Project Supervisor and Equipment Operator. Jeremiah brings over 29 years of hands-on experience in the timber industry, having worked in the family logging business since the age of 15. His career has been devoted to forestry management, hazard tree mitigation, and maintaining healthy, resilient forests.
Jeremiah has served as a board member for the Sierra Cascade Logging Conference and has been a long-standing board member of the Associated California Loggers, including serving as past President of the Amador/El Dorado Chapter. Like his father, he has been invited multiple times to Washington, D.C. by the American Loggers Council and ACL to represent the timber industry before congressional members. Jeremiah oversees daily operations, ensures productivity and quality control, and is highly experienced in operating all company timber and forestry equipment.
Beyond our immediate family, our crew is made up of long-time friends who are like family to us. Together, they bring more than 75 years of combined logging experience. This experience comes from decades of working in the woods, understanding the land, and doing the job right with safety, skill, and pride.
